Main purpose / objective of the position:
Develop annual leasing strategies and ensure that renewals are completed within determined timeframes as per client requirements. Liaise and negotiate transactions with current and prospective tenants and ensure that the Company’s interests in respect to finance, legal and tenant mix are met. Canvassing of and liaison with potential tenants to establish and maintain good relationships in order to market and let JHI managed vacant space at the best possible terms and within the Landlord mandates.
Key Responsibilities:
Education / Experience:
Grade 12. 3 years in a leasing environment, including a good knowledge of market trends, the complexities of deal making and lease negotiations. Dealing with national tenants. Experience in a more generalist property/portfolio management position will be considered.
Must hold a valid fidelity find certificate and satisfy the requirements as set out by the EAAB and current legislation for the position.
Knowledge required:
Computer literacy. Negotiating skills. Numerically inclined. Ability to understand contracts. Sound knowledge of the legal context within which leases are negotiated.

Vacancy levels, lease renewal cycles, reports, etc.

Asset Manager, Portfolio Executive, General Manager, Operations Teams, Finance, Lease Controller, tenants.
