Job summary
A professional recruitment agency is seeking a Junior Accountant based in Krugersdorp, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and assisting with month-end closing procedures. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, possess a Matric qualification in Accounting, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of agricultural business environments and experience with Syspro are advantageous. A valid driver's license and own vehicle are required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as a junior accountant or accounting clerk.
- Knowledge of agricultural business environments is advantageous.
- Able to work independently with a proactive mindset.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements.
- Reviewing and supervising subordinates' work.
- Budgeting and cash flow assistance.
- Month-end closing procedures.
- Preparation of monthly working paper files.
- Handling queries from the Financial Manager.
