Job Description
Looking for a skilled Management Cost Accountant to manage the financial aspects of a thriving nursery's manufacturing and production processes. This role will involve accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, and comprehensive stock management, all within a half-day schedule. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in Pastel / Sage accounting software. Strong analytical skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Pastel / Sage accounting software.
2. Perform cost analysis of production processes, including materials, labour, and overheads.
3. Manage all aspects of stock management, including inventory control, valuation, and regular stock takes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
4. Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
5. Conduct variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies.
6. Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
7. Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
9. Assist with general administrative and financial tasks as required.

1. Accounting qualification required.
2. Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in Pastel / Sage accounting software is essential.
4. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
5. Strong analytical skills are required to interpret financial data and optimise stock management.
6. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
