About The Opportunity
Our team, based in Johannesburg, is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join them. In this hands-on role, you will play an integral role in the daily finance operations of the AMEE region (Africa, Middle East, and Europe).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with senior management and overseeing the day-to-day financial activities of the AMEE region.
- Assisting with the month-end close process by analyzing the P&L and capturing month-end journals.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Banking function – including daily bank reconciliations, managing cash covenants, and cash flow forecasting.
- Accounts payable function – capturing costs and ensuring all suppliers are paid on time.
- Payroll function – preparation and processing of the payroll for the SA, UK, and Germany teams including all necessary tax returns.
- Tax compliance – ensuring that the regions' VAT, income tax, and payroll tax submissions are completed and submitted on time.
- BBBEE compliance – assist with the preparation of the reports required for the BBBEE submissions.
- Sales support – support the sales team with returns, credit notes, and queries.
- Supporting financial process improvements and the integration of systems with Head Office.
About You
You will have a proven background within accounting positions, ideally within a multinational organization.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in accounting and business administration.
- Management accounting experience, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
- Experience overseeing compliance and payroll.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage).
- Well-versed in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
