About the Role
The Business- and System Analyst will drive Subtropico’s growth and digital transformation by analysing processes and translating business needs into practical solutions. This role suits an analytically minded problem-solver, ideally with an Industrial Engineering background, who enjoys improving operations across different parts of the business. The role will play a central role in supporting the expansion of new business units, services, and business models as the Group grows.
Responsibilities
- Business Process Analysis & Improvement
- Review and document key business processes across Finance, HR, Operations, and new initiatives, ensuring outputs are clear and actionable.
- Identify inefficiencies, manual steps, and process gaps, and propose improvements that reduce workload and increase efficiency.
- Contribute to designing fit-for-purpose operating models that can scale with the business.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of process documentation and recommendations.
- Systems & Operational Support
- Translate business needs into clear operational and system requirements.
- Support implementation, testing, and adoption of new systems or digital tools, ensuring that it meets business needs.
- Help ensure processes and systems are practical, usable, and aligned with operational realities.
- Deliver analysis outputs that are accurate, understandable, and support decision-making.
- Internal Stakeholder & Initiative Coordination
- Act as a coordination point between business units, IT, and external service providers.
- Support planning, tracking, and execution of smaller cross-functional initiatives, managing dependencies and timelines.
- Communicate effectively and provide clear documentation, process guides, and decision summaries.
- Build positive engagement and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders.
- New Business Units & Business Models
- Support operational setup of new business units, services, or platforms.
- Assist in defining processes, roles, data requirements, and system touchpoints.
- Help identify risks, gaps, and scaling considerations early in new initiatives.
- Contribute to the successful day-to-day operationalisation of new initiatives.
- Problem Solving & Decision Support
- Apply structured problem-solving to business and operational challenges.
- Use data and basic reporting (primarily Excel) to inform recommendations.
- Take increasing ownership of initiatives, supporting decision-making and performance improvements.
- Contribute to defining performance measures or basic KPIs where relevant, supporting operational effectiveness.
Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience in business analysis, process improvement, operations analysis, or consulting/implementation environments.
- Experience supporting system rollouts, operational change, or cross-functional initiatives is advantageous.
- Exposure to complex operations, transformation-focused organisations, or agricultural/commodity-based environments is beneficial but not required.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred) or a related analytical field such as Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or Information Systems.
Technical Skills
- Business process analysis, end-to-end process mapping, and documentation.
- Identification of process inefficiencies, control gaps, and scalability constraints.
- Translation of business requirements into clear operational and functional specifications.
- Support for system implementations, including rollout, testing, user adoption, and stabilisation.
- Basic data analysis using Excel; exposure to dashboards and reporting tools is advantageous.
- Documentation of workflows, procedures, and operating models.
- Understanding of how systems, data, and processes interact in an operational context.
- No coding or advanced system configuration skills required.
Soft Skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across stakeholder groups.
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
