Temporary Warehouse Supervisor

Temporary Position: Centurion

Salary range: Min 97,000 pm | Max 138,000 pm

Period of temp contract: As soon as possible to 31 August 2025

Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the Temporary Warehouse Supervisor position in the Group Parts Distribution Centre for a 6-month contract.

Brief Role Description

To supervise all Group Parts Warehouse Operations activities by planning, controlling, analysing, coordinating, and implementing outbound logistics processes. Developing and optimizing outbound logistics and manpower resources to meet outbound KPIs, ensuring dealer service levels and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for adequate supply of all necessary material and equipment, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are regularly checked to minimize disruptions to production.
2. Monitor trends in sensitive, small bin, and rack area deficiencies, determine possible causes, and develop corrective actions to reduce damages and incorrect supply.
3. Plan and monitor warehouse operations process of parts and accessories to ensure daily cut-off times and targets are met.
4. Develop staff by setting work-related objectives, appraising performance and behavior, and providing specialist training to maximize individual potential and maintain high levels of productivity and motivation.
5. Arrange for and provide ongoing training for staff to ensure optimum utilization of manpower resources.
6. Consult and monitor security systems within the warehouse to guarantee security of materials.
7. Ensure that work areas are cleared and free of debris and obstacles, creating awareness among subordinates of relevant health and safety standards and ensuring strict adherence.
8. Assist in generating procedures and work instructions through liaison with interfacing departments and providing necessary training.
9. Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental standards and procedures by staff.
10. Assist in creating and maintaining a climate conducive to industrial stability and peace.
11. Participate in departmental budget meetings and ensure continuous improvement and adherence to company code of conduct by initiating performance management, counseling, and motivation of staff.
12. Plan, introduce, and monitor warehouse operations layouts for efficient material flow in conjunction with the Centurion industrial engineer.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

1. A recognized 3-year National diploma / Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of Warehouse supervisory experience.
3. 1 year of SAP operational experience.
4. Warehouse planning experience is essential.
5. Lifting machinery operating experience.
6. Inventory management, materials handling, and related planning principles and procedures.
7. Knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and standards.
8. Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
