A logistics management firm in Randburg is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee warehouse functions, ensure compliance, and lead a team. A minimum of 10 years of experience in warehousing, with at least 5 years in a management position, is required. The position also demands strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as a relevant tertiary qualification.
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for our client based Johannesburg North,Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience in warehousing and logistics, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role. A relevant tertiary qualification and proven ability to manage people, processes, and compliance are essential.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Management.
Minimum 10 years experience in warehousing/logistics, with 5 years at management level.
Strong knowledge of warehousing systems (ERP/WMS) and Microsoft Office.
Sound understanding of health, safety, and legal compliance in warehousing.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Valid drivers licence (Code 08 or higher).
Advantageous: Knowledge of cold storage, FMCG, or manufacturing warehouse environments.
Oversee the full warehouse function including receiving, storage, inventory control, dispatch, and distribution.
Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and labour legislation requirements.
Manage stock accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, drivers, and warehouse staff.
Ensure security, housekeeping, and maintenance of warehouse facilities.
Manage supplier and transporter relationships to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.
Prepare and present operational reports, KPIs, and budgets.
Maintain compliance with customs, SARS, and other regulatory requirements where applicable.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with company strategy.
