Brief details of the position:

Working within the accounts department, you will report directly to the Financial Manager. This position is based in Bellville, with a possibility of moving to Cape Town CBD. You shall assist with a range of accounting matters and financial control issues.

Purpose of the position:

To assist in ensuring high-quality and timely management information, stewardship of company assets, regular accounting records updates, and good financial relationships with customers, suppliers, staff, and stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience:

• Proven cash control, purchase ledger, stock control, and reconciliation experience with a thorough understanding of the procedures involved in this type of role.
• Proficiency in Pastel/Business Central.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Duties:

• Check and process cash-ups and control accounts.
• Process daily banking and perform reconciliations.
• Manage creditors - full function.
• Stock controls and reconciliation.
• Maintain fixed asset register and supporting documents.
• Balance control accounts daily.
• Handle petty cash.
• Balance loan accounts.
• Any other ad hoc duties.
