Job Title: Administrative Officer: Traffic Support Services / Administration Support (Parow) - 2 posts available, Ref No. WCMD 50 / R1

Department: Western Cape Mobility Department

Location: Parow, Western Cape, South Africa

Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose: The Western Cape Mobility Department has an employment opportunity for two suitably qualified and competent individuals to provide administrative support services to the component.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 3-year National Diploma / B-degree (equivalent or higher qualification)
  2. A minimum of 1 year relevant administrative support experience in a traffic law enforcement working environment
  3. Recommendation: Work irregular hours which at times includes holidays
  4. Expected to travel within the Province
  5. A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence
  6. People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Render administrative and statistical support services
  2. Co-ordinate M&E activities and maintain the relevant systems
  3. Provide support to the component for supply chain management activities
  4. Render advice and liaise with regard to administrative matters
  5. Supervisory functions

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  1. Organisational and management practices, policies and operational functioning of the Chief Directorate
  2. Financial management, monitoring and reporting procedures and systems related to budget monitoring instrument, approved post list, expenditure commitment reports
  3. Strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation processes
  4. General office administration and database management
  5. General support systems; Information and Record Management / Administration
  6. Data management functions; Administrative procedures and processes; Procurement processes
  7. Computer-based information systems

Remuneration: R - R per annum (Salary level 7)
