Group Financial Manager

Job purpose:

This role entails overseeing the accounting functions of the company. Analyze and provide strategic insights, risk management, and financial efficiency to drive business growth.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Financial accounting and management accounting
• Oversee financial accounting department
• Maintain controls and procedures
• Final escalation for payables and receivables
• External audit review and sign off
• Annual financial statements review
• Monthly management reports
• Financial performance monitoring and variance analysis
• Cash and liquidity management
• Debt and capital management
• Investment and risk management advice
• Banking and compliance
• Treasury performance and reporting
• Financial planning and budgeting
• Present annual financial management budget to the management team
• Review budget performance monthly
• Risk management and insurance
• Tax planning
• Asset / fixed asset management
• Asset disposal and end of life planning
• Company secretarial activities
• Legal documentation and governance oversight
• Corporate and trust compliance and statutory filings
• BBBEE

Requirements:

• CA (SA), registered with SAICA
• Compliance with ongoing CPD requirements as per SAICA regulations
• 5 - 10 years post qualification with at least three years working in a financial management role in retail or a manufacturing environment
