Job summary
A leading South African company in Johannesburg is seeking a Financial Clerk who will provide excellent administrative support within the credit control department. Responsibilities include managing incoming documents, ensuring secure file systems, and resolving queries efficiently. The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills and demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks. The role includes submitting reports and managing payment allocations to customer accounts.
Qualifications
- Excellent administrative service in credit control department.
- Ability to manage and control documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills to attend to queries.
Responsibilities
- Ensure File director system is secured and equipment is in order.
- Manage all incoming documents according to procedures.
- Scrutinize documents for signatures and match with invoices.
- Prioritize and manage queries daily.
- Engage with depots and agencies to resolve queries.
- Submit monthly reports to line manager.
The financial clerk should provide excellent administrative service within credit control department, by controlling and filing all documents and attending to queries promptly.
- Ensure File director system is fully secured and office equipment kept in good working order.
- Controls & manage all incoming documents in line with Standard Operating Procedure.
- Documents to be scrutinised for clear signature. Matched with invoice and sent to customer for payment.
- Prioritise and attend to queries daily
- Engage Depots/Agencies/Distribution to attend and resolve queries
- Performs any reasonable tasks as and when required.
- Ensures successful adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Always ensures good house-keeping practices.
- Submitting monthly report of outstanding documents to line manager for discussion
- Input payment amounts from bank statement into customer accounts
- Allocate Government cash into the individual government accounts
- Credit and Debit notes and or Re-invoice to be done on oracle.
- AD Hoc duties as required
