About the role
As a Process Technician, you must understand and fulfill the company's work requirements, ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of the management system. You need technical knowledge to meet plant operation standards and should maintain a positive attitude and initiative to support the company's growth. Additionally, a Process Technician should be capable of working both individually and in teams, accepting and executing tasks as instructed.
Key responsibilities
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and requirements.
- Reporting: Report to the Production Executive during shifts and to DCS Technicians when the Production Executive is absent.
- Plant Operations: Ensure the processing plant, including heating and cooling processes, operates efficiently and safely.
- Communication: Coordinate tasks with DCS Technicians, Production Executives, Production Supervisors, and other technicians.
- Inspection: Conduct routine inspections and complete checklists around the processing plant.
- Sampling: Assist in taking samples for in-process, raw materials, and products, and liaise with the QC laboratory for sample delivery and testing.
- Maintenance: Prepare and maintain added materials according to specifications.
- Warehouse Coordination: Work with Warehouse staff in receiving and producing raw materials and waste materials (VOR).
- GMP Compliance: Ensure the processing plant and storage tank operate efficiently, safely, and within GMP requirements.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Assist executives and supervisors with safety and cleanliness matters in the plant.
- Management System Compliance: Ensure compliance with management systems like 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, FSSC 2200, Halal, etc.
- Emergency Response: Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during shifts.
- Work Area Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in the work area and assist with repair and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Continuous Learning: Enhance knowledge related to the operation of the processing plant.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as directed or requested.
Qualifications and skills
- Graduate from Vocational College, or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or SPM / SPMV or 5 years of work experience.
- Experience in vegetable oil distillation plant would be an added advantage.
- Able to work in vegetable oil/manufacturing and willing to work in a shift environment.
- Able to communicate and understand Bahasa Malaysia.
- Able to communicate and understand English is an added advantage.
- Have basic computer knowledge and common software such as Microsoft Office.
