The Quality Assurance Manager who will be reporting to the Head of Process & Governance, under the Group Technology Division, is responsible to conduct independent assessment in the identified IT process area and recommend solutions with a goal to work towards achieving higher compliance level, improve operational gaps and effective environment to support and add value to the business. The other key responsibilities are as detailed below:

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Functional(job responsibilities)

  • Manage all aspects of planning, developing and executing quality assurance fieldwork, programs and initiatives
  • Drive and facilitate division-wide quality assurance self-assessment exercise for all IT pillars, including regional entities
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc compliance check to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory requirements and improve overall compliance level
  • Objectively conduct independent assessment and quality inspections in ensuring that the services and deliverables meet the established set of standards and processes
  • Identify pain points for improvement from people, process, technology and reporting perspective and propose recommended solutions on the operational gaps
  • Work closely with stakeholders/issue owners to address the gaps and implement corrective and preventive action plan
  • Assessment report provisioning
  • Deliver quality assurance related awareness & provide advisory role
  • Own quality assurance framework and methodology, such as testing and sampling approach

Organizational(organizational responsibilities)

  • Administration:
    • Provide efficient administrative support functions within department & ensure accurate compilation & submission for management reporting or relevant committee meetings.
    • Assist Head of Department to reduce overhead costs & meet budgeted targets.

Jobholder requirements:

Education/Qualification

  • Professional IT qualification/IT degree/related degree or diploma.

Experience/Requirements

  • At least 5 years related experience in IT with thorough understanding of IT landscape, in order to be able to conduct independent assessment on identified services and support processes
  • Sound knowledge of overall IT processes and services.
  • Experience and exposure in audit / compliance assessment / independent quality assessment for IT pillars, especially in Security and Infrastructure area, preferably with operations background
  • Strong communication, analytical and report writing skills
  • Possess minimum background in BNM RMIT
