Main job function
The Person:
3 to 5 years of experience selling into the retail industry and have specific knowledge of the methods and practices of the various retail chains regarding the listing of new products.
You must be confident in dealing with national buyers and other senior executives.
Owning a reliable vehicle is required.
The Job:
Make appointments to see customers/potential customers.
Visit existing customers at agreed intervals – calls per week.
Visit new customers each week – agree minimum new customer visits.
Reasonable expectation of weekend work when necessary.
Negotiate prices with customers within agreed discount structures.
Take orders from customers for stock.
Deliver orders to customers when needed.
Ensure all customer orders are submitted to head office without delay.
Education:
Matric.
