Ecowize is looking for an experienced Site Manager to coordinate and manage a hygiene team dedicated to delivering a food safe facility based in the western Cape. Extensive experience in managing a high risk and complex food facility is a requirement.

Job Description

We are growing our Cleaning Services and require a skilled and competent Site Manager to join the Ecowize Group.

Job Specification :

• Manage and coordinate all operational functions on site.
• Deliver a daily Food Safe Facility to customer standards.
• Use information obtained at the site to complete inspections, micros, audits, and customer feedback.
• Manage site budgets and man-hours as per shift schedule.
• Responsible for staff management and resolving HR related matters.
• Coaching and mentoring of staff as well as developing skills.
• Drive Occupational Health and Safety and make recommendations to improve the process.
• Ensure internal audits meet daily requirements.
• Close out any raised non-conformance of micros out of specification and follow up on NCR’s.
• Liaise daily with customers.
• Assist with recruitment for the region as the need arises.
• Assist with coordinating training interventions at site level.

Job Requirements :

• Management / or Food Technology Qualification (advantageous).
• 2 years experience in FMCG and or cleaning industry essential.
• Staff Management and Labour Relations experience is essential.
• Experience working with a Hygiene Quality Management System is advantageous.
• Own reliable transport essential and willingness to travel.
• Good command of the English Language.
• High-Quality administrative skills required.
• Be flexible to work at various sites as requested on short notice.

The successful incumbent must have the following skill sets :

• Grade 12.
• Must be comfortable with the Ecowize culture and values.
• Able to work a strict shift position and willing to work over weekends.
• Experience in the food production industry.
• Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations.
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and meet deadlines.
• High work standards, energetic and driven.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
• Customer centric.
