Job Description

A vacancy exists for a Retail Manager at the Robertville Branch (Gauteng). The position will report to the General Manager. The main purpose of the position is to ensure that all site specific security requirements are adhered to and that the Client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times as well as training on site.

Job Specification

1. Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and the Client with regard to security services rendered.
2. Conduct risk assessments and implement action plans to reduce stock losses.
3. Conduct shrinkage audits on client premises.
4. Conduct site specific training on security personnel on site.
5. Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Client regarding the improvement of services and combatting stock losses.
6. Ensuring continuous assessment of the Client’s premises and minimizing as far as possible risky access and creating several barriers to would be criminals and syndicates.
7. Auditing and verifying the client registers and generating exception reports.
8. Ensuring that all Security Officers on site meet the contractual requirements as stipulated by the Client.
9. Submitting relevant monthly reports to the Client and Management.
10. Attending daily / weekly / monthly meetings with the client.
11. Investigate incidents reported of stock losses.
12. Travel nationally as required and instructed by management.

Qualifications, Experience And Other Competencies Required

1. Matric certificate with Grade B PSIRA registration.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Security Operations in Retail/Shopping centre environment.
3. Very analytical individual with excellent Problem-Solving Skills.
4. Ability to manage and discipline staff.
5. Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
6. Strong Operational Planning, Leadership and Organisational Skills as well as good Interpersonal Communication and Client Liaison Skills are essential.
7. Must be able to work under pressure and for extended hours as and when required.
8. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management and its requirements.
9. A valid unendorsed driver license with own reliable transport essential.
10. Well-presented individual.
11. Must be willing to travel nationally.
12. No criminal record.
