The Team Leader will support the Supervisor in managing daily operations within the cold storage facility, ensuring seamless handling, storage, and dispatch of fruit exports. This role will assist in supervising staff, maintaining product quality, and ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to safety and compliance standards. The Assistant Supervisor acts as a bridge between the staff and the Supervisor to ensure smooth shift operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in supervising the loading, unloading, sorting, and storage of fruit products.
2. Monitor and maintain proper temperature control and storage conditions.
3. Ensure adherence to inventory management practices, including FIFO/LIFO.

1. Support the Supervisor in managing staff schedules, attendance, and shift assignments.
2. Act as the point of contact for warehouse staff in the Supervisor’s absence.
3. Conduct on-the-job training and assist in onboarding new staff.

1. Assist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
2. Perform routine quality checks and escalate issues to the Supervisor.
3. Ensure safe handling and storage practices to minimize product damage or loss.

1. Identify and report operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
2. Support the Supervisor in implementing new procedures or technologies.

1. Assist with maintaining accurate records of inventory, staff activities, and incidents.
2. Prepare and submit shift reports to the Supervisor and Operations Manager.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Additional training or certification in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management is an advantage.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cold storage, logistics, or warehouse environment.
4. Previous leadership or team coordination experience is a plus.
5. Skills & Competencies:
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Basic proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
