My client is seeking a Head of Modern Trade to join their team. This critical role is ideal for candidates who bring senior leadership experience and a track record in Modern Trade.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shape and execute the Modern Trade strategy to achieve customer performance and growth.
2. Develop and lead a high-performing team of Key Account Managers, collaborating with field sales teams to deliver excellence in negotiation, joint planning, and customer interactions.
3. Be an integral member of the Commercial Leadership team, contributing to a world-class commercial organization.
4. Drive and track execution standards through a third-party sales force.
5. Champion the customer agenda and develop team capabilities to create joint value with customers.

We will only consider candidates with leadership experience in a similar role and extensive Modern Trade expertise.

Requirements:

1. 10+ years of commercial experience in the FMCG sector, including:
   • Diverse channels and levels of customer sophistication (National Accounts, Key Accounts, Field Sales).
   • Leadership of large teams in complex, multi-channeled environments.
   • Strategy development, pricing, negotiations, and navigating challenging trading conditions.
2. Demonstrated success in high-performance sales organizations.
3. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with top customers.
4. Relentless focus on tracking and delivering high execution standards.
5. Prior experience in a Head of Modern Trade or similar senior leadership role is highly preferred.
