Plant Superintendent

The Worcester Plant Superintendent is responsible for managing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, sustainable, and profitable environment. This position requires both hands-on work and independent management, working closely with the ownership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety & Compliance: Oversee safety protocols, legal compliance, biosecurity, and emergency preparedness.
• Security: Ensure facility security, including alarm systems and anti-theft measures.
• Planning & Logistics: Plan production schedules, manage feed and neonate supplies, and coordinate product deliveries.
• Team Management: Lead the operations team, conduct daily meetings, and manage team motivation, discipline, and workforce logistics.
• Supply Chain & Process Management: Oversee procurement, feedstock distribution, and environmental control for BSF larvae growth.
• Maintenance & Facility Management: Ensure equipment and facility maintenance.
• Financial Management: Develop budgets and financial plans, assist in marketing and identifying market opportunities.
• Quality Control & Data Tracking: Monitor larvae health, feedstock quality, and product quality, while tracking key performance indicators.
• R&D & Communication: Manage test work, communicate with stakeholders, and gain owner approval for any changes or external communication.

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time
• Salary: R12,000 – R20,000 per month
• Location: In-person (Worcester facility)
