Job Openings General Manager (Chinese Restaurant) - Basic up to RM20k

Company background:

We are representing our client, a well-established Malaysian F&B group with a strong presence in the Chinese cuisine segment, operating a portfolio of reputable brands across both casual and premium dining. They are currently looking to hire a General Manager to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise daily operations of 3-4 banquet restaurant outlets, ensuring consistencyin service quality, food standards, and customer satisfaction
• Lead outlet managers and support teams to achieve operational KPIs
• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Head Chefs to ensure synergy between kitchen and front-of-house operations
• Take full ownership of the P&L for each outlet and monitor sales, costs, and profitability
• Implement strategies to improve financial performance and manage budgets effectively
• Recruit, train, and mentor management and operational staff
• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high performance
• Ensure that all outlets maintain high standards in service delivery, food quality, cleanliness, and ambiance, in line with brand expectations
• Work with the MD on business development initiatives, including marketing campaigns, special events, and outlet performance improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations at all outlets

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in the F&B industry, preferably with Chinese or banquetrestaurant experience
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L across multiple outlets
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese (preferred due to business and kitchencommunication)
• Ability to travel between outlets and work flexible hours, including weekends and publicholidays as required

Working Hours:Mon-Fri, 9-6pm
