Our Risk Management Generalist - Client Services team focuses on promoting and monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage clients' regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk. What you'll create and do
As an R&Q Specialist, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution and assist the business to solve important problems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the Africa x-LoS Risk and Quality Partner and the Africa xLoS R&Q Associate Director in all Risk & Quality matters, including ad hoc projects.
- Ensure the firm has an adequate training and communication programme in place to enable partners and staff to be sufficiently aware of R&Q issues.
- Assist with managing day to day xLoS R&Q activities including supporting the Acceptance and Continuance systems.
- Analyse and monitor Risk Management and Independence KPIs (e.g., unwrapped file, overdue A&C) and follow up on these exceptions, including improvement of the process and reporting.
- Initial review of Risk Consultations.
- Assistance with the preparation of Risk Management Alerts.
- Assistance with reporting on Audit Quality Indicators to Leadership and expanding this.
- Research technical issues (Risk Management, Policy Hub / NRMP, IFRS, JSE Listing Requirements, Companies Act, Industry-specific legislation, PwC Audit, International Standards on Auditing, Independence Policies and SOPS), as required.
- Assistance with upkeep of QMSE documentation and ensuring controls and processes are in place.
- Assistance with regulatory inspection requirements, including regulatory submissions and assisting to manage the Assurance Work Declaration.
- Assistance with Firm reviews as required by Global.
- Assist in development of training related to risk management.
- Assist with the roll-out of Risk Management projects.
