Under the supervision of the Compliance Director :
Help to identify best practices and gaps related to the regional compliance program, focusing on the needs of ROA especially SEA countries.
Design tailor-made compliance training and communications to the differentiated target audience throughout ROA/SEA countries.
Support the AP Compliance team to address and manage third-party intermediary risks by overseeing the implementation of the due diligence program in ROA/SEA countries and delivering the necessary guidance to the business team.
Provide advice and solutions to ROA/SEA internal clients on multiple compliance matters on a daily basis.
Perform special or ad-hoc tasks outside SEA by the Compliance Director, APAC
Investigations
Organise and help coordinate investigation contents, objective and schedule to guarantee an efficient accomplishment of the investigation, with the support of the other stakeholders.
Gather, analyse and evaluate allegation relevant data in advance to secure and improve the quality of the investigation and interview.
Conduct interviews and on-site investigations as needed. Collaborate with colleagues in Business Units, Legal, Internal Audit, HR, Finance, and other core control departments for support or joint investigations. Work towards future improvements as the Compliance Program evolves, ensuring a cooperative team environment within the compliance team.
Prepare the investigation report in respect of individual allegations independently or in cooperation with other team members.
Propose disciplinary actions following the valid disciplinary procedures and collect the views and comments from global compliance team to tweak and finalize the report promptly.
Manage the timely implementation of proposed remediation actions to improve process efficiency, seeking support from the line manager if problems arise.
Maintain regular investigation reports and communications to keep main stakeholders informed and aligned on investigation findings and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master Degree in law, finance, business administration, natural sciences or a related field.
Five years work experience, in ethics and compliance, internal investigation or a similar area in an international environment, within SEA or a similar market. Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of and familiarity with the different local cultural considerations and business practices in the SEA countries.
Experience conducting compliance investigations and managing the investigations process, including the management and tracking of the investigation lifecycle and the close-out process.
Proficient in English and at least one SEA local languages (written and spoken).
Ability to work independently, and in a team environment.
This is an office-based role, however business travel will be required on occasion.
