The Role:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across the Midlands & South West territory. You ll be managing and expanding an existing customer base while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities within key industries. This is a field-based role requiring a self-motivated and results-driven individual who excels at building long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities within the industrial coatings sector.
• Meet and exceed revenue and new business targets.
• Conduct face-to-face client meetings, product presentations, and demonstrations.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including technical and account management teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity via the CRM system.

About You:

• Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager in a field-based role.
• Background in industrial coatings is highly desirable, but candidates from related industries with coatings knowledge will be considered.
• Strong new business development skills with a proactive and driven approach.
• Excellent relationship-building and account management abilities.
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Able to manage a territory effectively, prioritizing leads and opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
