Area Sales Manager - Building Supplies

Role: External Sales / Area Sales Manager

Location: An external role, Covering Sheffield and parts of Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire

Sector: Building Materials / Construction Supplies / Timber Merchants

Package: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Car

We are looking for an External Sales Representative for our client with a network of branches across the UK who supply a vast range of timber, landscaping and building products to the construction sector.

Responsibilities:

1. Account Management
2. New Business Opportunities
3. Covering Sheffield and parts of Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire
4. Monday - Friday

Requirements:

1. Sales and Construction Supplies Experience
2. Strong Sales Drive
3. Builders merchants background is required
4. Sales experience is 100% required

This position requires someone who is really confident talking to people, understanding their needs and acting on this to provide sterling service to the customer. Attention to detail is also key. As an Area Sales Manager, we are looking for someone with a Strong Sales drive and able to build long lasting relationships with customers and colleagues. Dealing with many large sectors within the market but also targeting niche sectors, this is a well-respected and highly successful business.

Key Attributes:

1. Previous experience within a Sales role within the construction supplies / building materials sector e.g. builders merchants, timber merchants or distributor
2. Customer focused
3. Good communication and negotiation skills
