Area Sales Manager
Location:
Midlands / South West
Shift: Days – Monday - Friday
Permanent
Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus

Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager with a passion for new business development? Do you have expertise in industrial coatings or a solid understanding of coatings and their markets? If you thrive in a field-based sales role and have a track record of securing and growing accounts, we want to hear from you!

The Role:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across the Midlands & South West territory. You’ll be managing and expanding an existing customer base while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities within key industries. This is a field-based role requiring a self-motivated and results-driven individual who excels at building long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities within the industrial coatings sector.
  • Meet and exceed revenue and new business targets.
  • Conduct face-to-face client meetings, product presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including technical and account management teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity via the CRM system.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager in a field-based role.
  • Background in industrial coatings is highly desirable, but candidates from related industries with coatings knowledge will be considered.
  • Strong new business development skills with a proactive and driven approach.
  • Excellent relationship-building and account management abilities.
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Able to manage a territory effectively, prioritizing leads and opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
