1. Coordinate access and use of computer networks
2. Install software
3. Install web server hardware and software
4. Load printer with paper and forms
5. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
6. Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks
7. Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software
8. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
9. Provide problem-solving services to network users
10. Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
11. Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
12. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
13. Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
14. Modify Web pages, applets and scripts
15. Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines
16. Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers
17. Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
18. Supervise technical staff
