Homes by Avi is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Site Superintendent. Assistant Site Superintendent - Residential Construction

You will work directly under the leadership of the Senior Operations Manager to support the Site Superintendents in managing the construction and scheduling of each home on a day-to-day basis.

Who You Are

You have an excellent understanding of residential construction practices, light carpentry, and can manage multiple tasks seamlessly.

You are not afraid to get your hands dirty and are willing to perform tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, pumping, and cleaning required to keep our sites immaculate.

You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and work well independently. You can identify tasks that need to be done before being given direction and take action to ensure the build moves along as scheduled.

You are a team player who collaborates effectively with co-workers to ensure expectations are aligned and customers are impressed with their new homes.

What You Will Do

1. Assist the Site Superintendents with the efficient and cost-effective construction of homes in your community while maintaining established production schedules.
2. Ensure efficient site management, adherence to safety, and site cleanliness for all home sites in your assigned area.
3. Perform small deficiency repairs and assist with quality control checklists while working efficiently and independently. Schedule deficiency repairs with trades and follow up to ensure work is complete and meets quality standards prior to occupancy.
4. Ensure sites are ready for the next scheduled trade.
5. Complete labor-intensive tasks required to maintain safe site access, including snow removal, pressure washing, and debris clean-up.
6. Foster effective trade and supplier relationships.
7. Manage customer expectations and liaise with the Sales and Customer Relations teams to address concerns during the home building process.
8. Efficiently complete all tasks as assigned by the Site Superintendent or the Construction Manager.
   
   

1. 2+ years of direct experience in construction, preferably as an Assistant Site Superintendent, Laborer, or equivalent.
2. The ability to work with your hands and perform strenuous physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and working outdoors in all seasons.
3. Great communication skills, including the ability to articulate your points and ask pertinent questions.
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within time constraints.
5. Confident conflict resolution abilities.
6. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
7. Personal tools and steel-toe work boots.
