Job Description

• Manage daily site operations for civil projects including excavation, grading, paving, concrete work, underground servicing (storm, sanitary, water), and environmental site activities.
• Supervise and coordinate site crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe execution of work.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide work in the field.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, engineers, inspectors, and vendors to maintain schedules and material deliveries.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Lead daily site meetings and toolbox talks; maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, photos, and progress tracking.
• Identify and resolve issues on site to keep the project moving forward.
• Ensure the site is kept clean, organized, and compliant with environmental protection standards.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or similar supervisory role in civil road construction.
• Strong knowledge of roadwork, underground utilities, surface works, and environmental construction practices.
• Experience with municipal, regional, or MTO projects is a definite asset.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Skilled in construction documentation and scheduling tools.
• Valid Ontario driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across the GTA.
• Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, Working at Heights) are preferred.
