Construction Superintendent – Job Description

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Chad Stevens

YOU WILL BE TRAINED TO HANDLE THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

1. Primarily responsible for all aspects of assigned jobs, on-site field planning and supervision of sub-contractors.
2. Ensure successful completion of projects to meet time and cost objectives with respect to self-performed and subcontracted trade work.
3. Maintain professional relationships with supervisors, co-workers, homebuyers/owners, realtors, and sub-contractors.
4. Ensure that safety measures are met.
5. Execute quality control policies at the job site.
6. Assist Pre-construction and Project Management to develop an initial project schedule and communicate sequence and schedule updates to all subcontractors and vendors.
7. Demonstrate success in managing multiple construction projects.
8. Actively participate in coordination of subcontractor scheduling and progress meetings.
9. Maintain working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contracts with buyers/homeowners, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, drawings, submittals, and all other project-related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of construction plans.
10. Ensure timely project completion through project scheduling, expediting of material deliveries and the management of material and document submittals/approvals.
11. Maintain strong communication, organization and leadership skills.
12. Demonstrate adequate knowledge in the skills of field supervision, cost control, subcontractor management, interpersonal skills, safety, and written and oral communication.
13. Proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk.
14. Promote the growth and development of subcontractor and vendor relationships.
15. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
