Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Energy & Infrastructure

Are you a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician looking for a new opportunity in a dynamic and essential industry? This role offers the chance to be part of a well-established infrastructure business operating critical energy sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to ensure safe, efficient operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Carry out maintenance on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and mechanical isolation equipment.
Monitor, inspect, and control plant parameters while providing first-line defect repairs.
Interpret and manage plant operations via the Distributed Control System (DCS).
Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency shutdown procedures.
Perform assigned safety duties, including managing safe systems of work, setting people to work, and maintaining housekeeping standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) in Mechanical or equivalent qualification.
Experience working in a continuous process or production environment.
Strong fault-finding, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow structured procedures, systems, and processes to meet operational targets.
A proactive approach to suggesting and implementing operational improvements.
Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, including permit-to-work processes, risk assessments, and method statements
