Security Systems Service Engineer

The Nexum Group are looking for a highly experienced and competent Security Systems Service Engineer. You will be servicing security systems i.e. Intruder Alarms, CCTV & Access Control Systems to the relevant industry standards, using your exceptional technical industry knowledge. Ideally you will have experience of/and or knowledge of IP based networks and security systems.

What you will be doing

1. Planned annual maintenance including reactive response.
2. Managing your own time to ensure jobs are prioritised correctly.
3. Correctly complete work reports and client recommendations.
4. Provide excellent customer service with internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.

What we will need from you

1. Experience within Electronic Security industry.
2. Experience of IP based networks and security systems.
3. Full UK driving license.
4. Ability to lift and climb ladders.
5. Experience working in a customer facing environment.
6. Problem solving skills.
7. Customer focus with ability to communicate effectively with a range of customers.
8. Hold current relevant qualifications to the industry i.e. 18th edition/ NVQ/ City and Guilds/BTEC (desirable but not essential).

What you can expect in return

1. Salary Range £33,000 - £42,000 (we may be able to negotiate a little higher for an exceptional candidate)
2. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and option to buy 5 days and sell 2 days

6. Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8.45 - 16.40, Friday 8.45 - 4pm)
7. Call out rota - 1 in 6 days currently. There is a standby allowance of £182 per week whilst on standby.
8. Call out rate is first 4 hours flat rate and 1.5 after this.
9. Travel time is paid after 1 hour - so this could be 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening
10. Overtime is also available by agreement payable at time & a half Monday - Saturday and double time on Sunday & Bank Holiday
