This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £32,962 – £36,791 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Resettlement Officer to join our Rough Sleeping team.The RoleThis is a hands-on role that requires empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping people with complex needs. You will need to be proactive with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and physically fit, as this role involves lots of walking, often in all weathers.
Your Role Will Involve- Some early starts at 5am, where you will seek out and locate rough sleepers across the borough.
- Support and encourage individuals to access specialist support, where desired, e.g. GP treatment and advice, Mental Health support, drug and alcohol support, harm reduction advice.
What We Are Looking For- You’ll need to be resilient, patient, and ready to work with people who may struggle to engage with services like ours.
- You’ll have a compassionate, empathetic approach and a solid understanding of the complex challenges faced by people who are homeless or rough sleeping.
- To be able to keep calm and de-escalate any challenging behaviour.
- You will be motivated, great at talking to people, have good organisation skills, and be willing to learn.
- You will need to be physically fit, as this role involves lots of walking, often in all weathers.
- The role involves early starts at 5am and requires a clean, valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
