An art education service provider in Dorking is seeking a Part-Time Art Teacher to deliver engaging art classes tailored to children's needs. This role involves teaching, administrative duties, and studio management, requiring artistic skills and experience working with children. art-K is the UK’s largest private art education service, delivering fun, skill-based classes to over 7,500 children each week. Our programme helps develop artistic skills, build confidence, and support mental well‑being through inspiring projects taught by passionate educators.
At our Dorking branch, the Part‑Time Art Teacher is responsible for delivering the classes and supporting running the studio, with time split across teaching and class preparation (75%), and administration and promotion (25%). Full training is provided in our teaching methods, with ongoing support from our central team and a national network of art teachers.
Term Time: 20.5 hours per week on the following schedule:
School Holidays (14 weeks/year): The same number of hours will be worked between Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with the exact daily schedule varying based on the needs of the studio.
Salary: £15 369.12 per annum.
Fixed salary, which will increase as the studio grows. Promotional opportunities are available every term.
Start of the Role: 02/02/2026
We will only consider candidates who are available to work the full schedule and are able to start on the specified start date.
Sick Pay: Following probation, enhanced sick pay policy; 3 weeks full pay in any 12 month period.
