This role will be hybrid, and will require you to spend some portion of your time in our office in one of these locations.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Treasurer to oversee and manage the financial assets, liquidity, risk, and capital management for MoonPay. The Treasurer will play a critical role in ensuring the effective deployment of funds, managing risks associated with crypto assets, and optimizing cash flow. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that support our company's growth, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and strengthen our financial foundation.

What you will do:

1. Cash and Liquidity Management:
   Oversee daily cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for business operations and working capital needs.
   Optimize the company's cash and crypto asset balances across multiple accounts and exchanges to maximize returns.
   Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasting models.
   Design and implement a comprehensive investment strategy to maximize returns for MoonPay Parent, aligning with the company's financial goals and risk tolerance.
2. Crypto and Fiat Asset Management:
   Manage the company’s portfolio of fiat and cryptocurrency holdings, including the deployment, custody, and monitoring of digital assets.
   Implement best practices for safeguarding crypto assets, including multi-signature wallets, cold storage, and secure exchanges.
   Monitor market trends and optimize treasury allocations between fiat, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies to ensure liquidity and maximize yield.
   Negotiate and manage trading terms on the venues to maximize our ability to trade, minimize capital requirements, and ensure we are getting the best pricing.
   Work with Partnerships and PED around token launches to ensure we have liquidity in time as needed.
   Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with cryptocurrency market volatility, interest rates, and foreign exchange fluctuations.
   Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements relating to crypto and fiat transactions.
3. Banking and Liquidity/Custody Relationships:
   Establish and maintain excellent relationships with banking partners, crypto exchanges, and payment service providers.
   Negotiate fees and terms with banks and exchanges to optimize payment processing costs and fund transfer efficiency.
4. Treasury Operations:
   Ensure all treasury transactions (fiat and crypto) are accurately recorded in the financial systems.
   Monitor and improve payment processing efficiency and reduce operational friction in fund movements.
   Oversee the implementation of automated treasury tools for cash, risk, and liquidity management.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Treasurer with a strong background in both traditional finance and cryptocurrency management. This role involves overseeing daily cash flow and ensuring sufficient liquidity, while strategically optimizing our fiat and crypto asset portfolios. A key part of this role will be building and maintaining strong relationships with banking partners, crypto exchanges, and payment service providers to support efficient fund management and enhance treasury operations.

What you will need:

1. 10+ years of experience in cash and liquidity management, with a strong understanding of optimizing both fiat and digital asset balances.
2. Crypto Asset Management Proficiency: expertise in managing digital assets, including custody solutions, secure trading practices, and optimizing allocations between fiat, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies.
3. Strong background in investment strategy design and cash flow forecasting for both short- and long-term planning.
4. Proven experience in risk management, specifically related to cryptocurrency market volatility, interest rates, and foreign exchange fluctuations.
5. Excellent relationship management skills with banking partners, crypto exchanges, and payment service providers, including negotiation of fees and terms.
6. Proven track record in automating treasury operations, ensuring accurate transaction recording, and improving efficiency in cash, risk, and liquidity management.
