noon, the region's leading consumer commerce platform. On December 12th, 2017, noon launched its consumer platform in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, expanding to Egypt in February 2019. The noon ecosystem of services now includes marketplaces for food delivery, quick-commerce, fintech, and fashion. noon is a work in progress; we’re six years in, but only 5% done.

What you'll do:

As a part of the Heroes team, you will be expected to promote a positively engaged work environment and foster strong relationships between employees and the management. The candidate will oversee and manage Fleetco's payroll operations. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee wages, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Assistant Payroll Manager will also resolve payroll-related issues, conduct audits, and handle day-to-day payroll activities.
- Preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement of salaries.
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including employee attendance, deductions, reversals, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Process and manage employee benefits, deductions, and compensation adjustments in the payroll system.
- Handle queries from employees regarding payroll discrepancies or issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management, government authorities, and statutory bodies as required.
- Work closely with HR, operations and Finance teams to ensure alignment between payroll, employee records, and financial reporting.
- Conduct audits, including internal audits and statutory audits related to payroll and compliance.
- Ensure timely processing of leave accruals, advances, and other adjustments in payroll.
- Stay updated on changes to labor laws, and payroll best practices to ensure compliance.
- Provide support to the Manager in handling payroll-related projects or improvements.
What you’ll need?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- Certification in payroll or related certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional). - preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in end to end payroll administration
- Familiarity with regulations, labor laws, and statutory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
