Title: Director-Finance
Our Client: A leading FMCG company in the consumer goods manufacturing sector, known for its diverse portfolio of products and commitment to excellence.
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Director-Finance to be based in Dubai. This role involves leading the financial management of the S&D, Logistics & Packaging business group, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements while upholding high standards of financial governance across the organization. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role includes managing financial duties, advising on regulatory matters, and supporting the Executive Leadership Team in strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have 18-20 years of related experience in an FMCG, distribution, or manufacturing company, including at least 8-10 years in senior leadership positions as CFO of $1 billion+ FMCG businesses (multi-product/multi-location), with a preference for distribution experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business Segments Executives on the development of strategy statements and annual operating plans.
- Drive business performance and facilitate structured business reviews.
- Support the GD Finance in creating 3-year Growth Play Book and Financial Operating plans, business acquisition, restructuring, and disinvestment initiatives.
- Identify opportunities, financial modeling, project reporting, ensuring financial due diligence, and study feasibility for M&A, JV’s for entry into new segments/products.
- Navigate the complex global fiscal landscape, ensuring compliance with Corporate, VAT, Customs, and Transfer pricing.
- Provide guidance to BU Finance Heads in introducing and monitoring financial discipline, developing and implementing effective financial management information systems, and designing robust standard operating procedures.
- Examine the structure of balance sheets, workflows, procedures, policies, and controls, and drive periodic improvements.
- Manage working capital in a cost-efficient manner across Business Units.
- Provide top management/Board with timely reports on Business Performance and Financial health.
- Drive the budgeting, reforecasting, and business planning exercise across the Business Segment.
- Establish effective and robust financial accounting and cost accounting systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with applicable laws, statutory/internal audit requirements, and Group policies.
- Perform thorough risk and compliance assessment and devise strategies to safeguard business segment assets.
- Monitor procurement strategy, capital expenditure, and release of funds to various business units.
- Establish mechanisms for timely clearance and payment of vendor/supplier/salary payments.
- Ensure generation of daily margin reports.
- Support Corporate Treasury in ensuring adequate hedging policies to mitigate FX risk.
- Ensure compliance with Policies and Statement of Procedures, including adequacy of segregation of duties, timely reconciliations, and adherence to the Matrix structure.
Your Profile:
- Professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ICWA) or equivalent.
- MBA with specialization in Finance from a reputed Business School is an added advantage.
- Financial Expertise and Acumen: Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Mastery in these areas ensures accurate financial statements, sound financial strategies, and effective management of the company's financial health.
- Strategic Planning and Business Insight: Ability to set financial goals that align with the company's long-term vision. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and developing strategies to maximize profitability and shareholder value.
