Job purpose
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the financial strategy and operations of their holding structure, overseeing multiple subsidiaries and investment vehicles. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining robust financial governance, supporting investment analysis, and ensuring efficient financial operations across the group.

This is a strategic leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will play a key part in driving growth and performance across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the financial operations of the holding company and its subsidiaries, ensuring efficient group-level consolidation, reporting, and control.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies to support portfolio expansion, capital deployment, and value realization.
3. Manage group-wide budgeting, forecasting, liquidity, and capital planning activities.
4. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and DIFC regulatory standards.
5. Lead financial due diligence and provide valuation support on new investments, M&A, and divestitures.
6. Maintain compliance with DIFC and DFSA (where applicable) frameworks, including ongoing regulatory reporting and audit requirements.
7. Structure and oversee intercompany transactions, dividend flows, and tax-efficient structures.
8. Manage relationships with auditors, banks, legal counsel, and external advisors.
9. Build and lead a capable finance team with a focus on automation, control, and scalability.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is essential; MBA or CFA is a plus.
2. 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 in a senior finance leadership role within a holding company, investment firm, or diversified group.
3. DFSA-authorised individual (past or current) for a Finance Officer or equivalent role strongly preferred.
4. Background in investment holding, private equity, or corporate venture arms is highly advantageous.
5. Experience with enterprise financial systems and reporting automation tools.

Skills & Competency:

1. Strong understanding of holding company structures, capital allocation models, and investment evaluation.
2. Demonstrated experience in managing multi-entity financial operations across jurisdictions.
3. Familiarity with corporate structuring, tax planning, and compliance matters across the GCC and internationally.
4. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to partner with senior management and investment teams.
5. Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
