Working Hours: 3-5 days a week, 15-27 teaching hours

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, a strong background in competitive and show choreography, and expertise in a range of dance styles, with an ability to teach in Jazz, Commercial, and Contemporary dance to a high standard. This role requires a dedicated individual who is committed to guiding students in their journey into the dance industry and higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality dance instruction across a variety of styles, with a focus on your area of specialism (Jazz, Commercial, or Contemporary).
• Choreograph and oversee competitive and show performances, ensuring students are well-prepared and confident.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that supports student development and confidence.
• Communicate industry expectations clearly to students, helping them understand the demands and standards of professional dance.
• Work collaboratively with other faculty members to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students as they prepare for auditions, competitions, and applications to further education.
• Stay informed of current industry trends, techniques, and educational practices to ensure that instruction is relevant and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in dance.
• Proven experience in competitive and show choreography.
• Expertise in a range of dance styles with a specialism in Jazz, Commercial, or Contemporary.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to set clear expectations while maintaining a supportive teaching approach.
• A team player who is willing to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the program.
• A positive, confident, and encouraging demeanor, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Relevant industry experience or educational background is essential.
