Keyrole Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse – Psychiatric to join our team.

This role requires a compassionate professional to practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and to assume total responsibility for patient activities.

1. Provide patient care according to the Scope of Practice, taking full responsibility for activities related to patient care.
2. Contribute to the holistic care of patients and attend handover reports at the commencement of shifts.
3. Recognize life-threatening situations and respond appropriately.
4. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and promote their health and wellbeing.
5. Deliver detailed handovers to the ward's sister.
6. Audit health records to ensure compliance with health regulations.
7. Control and manage stock effectively, ensuring proper charging and crediting.
8. Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives, and visitors.

1. Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
2. Matric qualification is essential.
3. Relevant experience in a Psychiatric Department.
4. Compulsory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
5. Advanced computer literacy.
6. Flexible in working hours and shifts.
7. Capacity to implement and maintain health practice standards as required by accredited bodies and health legislation.
