Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Gamer, this specialized QA role focuses on testing and evaluating mobile games to ensure they meet quality, functionality, and playability standards. This position is critical to delivering an engaging, error-free gaming experience and often requires technical knowledge, gaming skills, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

1. Advanced Technical Skills and Knowledge
   • In-Depth QA Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and standards specific to game testing.
   • Extensive Game Testing Experience: Proven experience in testing mobile games, with a portfolio of prior projects.
   • Advanced Bug Tracking Proficiency: Expertise in bug tracking systems like JIRA, with the ability to analyze and categorize bugs by severity and suggest solutions.
   • Test Case Design: Proficiency in writing complex test cases, designing custom test plans, and conducting both manual and automated testing.
   • Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose root causes of bugs and gameplay issues.
2. Leadership and Mentorship
   • Mentorship Abilities: Experience mentoring junior testers, guiding them in best practices, and providing constructive feedback.
3. Game Development and Industry Knowledge
   • Comprehensive Game Knowledge: Extensive experience with different gaming genres, a deep understanding of gaming systems, mechanics, and player expectations.
   • Industry Awareness: Awareness of industry trends, upcoming games, and developments in gaming technology and player accessibility.
   • Attention to Detail: Strong observation skills to catch inconsistencies or bugs, even without prior extensive experience.
   • Communication Skills: Basic verbal and written communication skills to report findings clearly and concisely.
   • Team Collaboration: Openness to working with more experienced testers and developers, willing to ask questions and seek guidance.
4. Passion for Gaming
   • Interest in Gaming: Personal gaming experience with an understanding of popular games, mechanics, and common bugs.
   • Player-Centric Perspective: Willingness to learn how to think from the player's point of view to identify issues that may affect gameplay enjoyment.
