As a Senior Staff Product Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and launching new sensor products for automotive, industrial and/or consumer applications, collaborating with a diverse, international team of design, concept, test, verification, application, and manufacturing engineers to ensure products meet customer requirements, are cost-effective, and can be efficiently manufactured. Additionally, you will share your technical expertise and passion for product development by mentoring and training junior colleagues, helping to grow our team's capabilities and drive success.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Closely collaborate with production, test engineering and design in order to identify possible improvements of the product, the test program and/or the fabrication process during development and production ramp up.
- Train and mentor junior colleagues in product engineering.
- Ensure manufacturability of new products by analyzing the yield, the test coverage and production stability. Drive the implementation of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) approaches and generate new ideas to guarantee seamless and cost efficient production of our sensors.
- Strive for best cost sensors by defining ambitious yield roadmaps and by challenging design, technology development and test engineering. Ramp-up new products according to the plans.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and address deviations from production targets, focusing on quality, performance, and cost discrepancies, and drive corrective actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Drive the definition of process window lots and analyze resulting test data in collaboration with design and technology development.
- Support product qualification and test concept development. Drive test limit definition.
- Define and execute safe launch measures.
Your ProfileYou are best equipped for this task if you have:
- PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s Engineering / Science degree in Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Applied Physics or similar field of study.
- At least 5 years’ working experience in semiconductor / post-silicon component verification/validation and/or device testing of mixed signal / sensor circuits or Fab product engineering.
- Hands-on experience on data analysis, statistical methods as well as data base handling.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of IC manufacturing and production flow including processing, assembly and production test.
- Solid knowledge of semiconductor devices, applications and physics; ideally semiconductor sensor knowledge.
- Ideally programming skills in R, Python and experience with statistical tools.
- Ideally solid experience with design, assembly, test and debugging of semiconductor sensors.
- Good aptitude in engineering analysis, problem solving and solution finding. Looking for challenges as opportunities to grow and develop.
