Engineer Product Engineering

As a product engineer, your role will be to be part of the development and launch of new sensor products for automotive, industrial, and/or consumer applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional international team that includes design, concept, test, verification, application, and manufacturing engineers to ensure that the products meet customer requirements, are cost-effective, and can be manufactured efficiently. You will also develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Closely collaborate with production, test engineering, and design to identify possible improvements of the product, the test program, and/or the fabrication process during development and production ramp-up.
• Ensure manufacturability of new products by analyzing yield, test coverage, and production stability. Monitor yield and generate yield reporting.
• Work together with design and test teams by providing appropriate data and data analysis (assessment, correlations).
• Analyze root causes of deviations from production targets such as quality, yield, performance, or cost.
• Support definition of process window lots and analyze resulting test data.
• Ramp-up new products and rapidly bring up test yield.
• Support product qualification through special data analysis.
• Run test limit definition activities together with the development team.
• Define and execute safe launch measures.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science in Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/Applied Physics or similar field of study.
• At least 1+ years of working experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical methods, and database handling.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices, applications, and physics; ideally, semiconductor sensor knowledge.
• Programming skills in R, Python, and experience with statistical tools are ideal.
• Good aptitude in engineering analysis, problem-solving, and solution finding. Looking for challenges as opportunities to grow and develop.
