Competent Electrical Engineer/ Supervisor

Megapower Consultants provides both consulting and supervising services for electrical and mechanical systems with more than 25 years of experience in various construction projects. Our company undertakes planning, design, cost estimate, adjudication, supervision, management, co-ordination, and commissioning of various industrial factories, warehouses, commercial buildings, residential houses, etc.

The candidate will have sufficient knowledge of modern electrical engineering practice, including the principles of operation of equipment used for generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, protection, and metering in electrical installations and energy efficiency management.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To inspect electrical installations (switchgear, transformer, main switchboard, etc.) for industrial factories.
2. To take readings of voltage, current, and power factor, as well as conducting visual inspections to comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations.
3. To communicate and report to clients about electrical faults and defects.
4. To prepare service reports and Borang-I for Suruhanjaya Tenaga submission.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
2. Possess a JEK Competency Certificate or PE Competency Certificate registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
3. 7+ years of work experience in an environment where there is handling of electrical equipment and has experience of controlling live equipment.
4. Possess sufficient knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and any regulations made thereunder.
5. Able to travel daily within state and interstates.
6. Able to work independently and liaise effectively with clients.
7. Good command of English and Malay in speaking, reading, and writing.
