A regional authority in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to enhance corporate documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborating with Solution Architects and project teams, you will manage a central documentation repository and produce high-quality documents that inform critical design decisions. Essential skills include communicating complex technical concepts clearly and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders. This is an 11-month Fixed Term Contract offering substantial opportunities for professional growth.
We're looking for an experienced Technical Writer, where you'll play a key role in shaping how our corporate systems are documented and understood. We're looking for a skilled professional to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation that supports critical systems and informs technical design decisions across the organisation.
Working closely with Solution Architects, project teams, and subject-matter experts, you'll produce clear, accurate, and compliant documentation, while owning and managing our central documentation repository. You'll also help shape and influence supplier-provided materials, ensure alignment with industry and organisational standards, and drive continuous improvements to our documentation processes, enhancing usability, accessibility, and the overall stakeholder experience.
Please note that this is an 11 month Fixed Term Contract.
The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B16 3SD with at least 2 days a week spent in the office.
