A leading construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a remote role based in Chelmsford. This position involves leading commercial management on significant energy infrastructure projects, preparing financial reports, and ensuring profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NEC3 / NEC4 contracts and a degree in Quantity Surveying. We are supporting a leading, independent construction consultancy that specialises in delivering major infrastructure programmes across the UK. The consultancy has a strong reputation for high-profile projects in the energy, utilities, nuclear, and industrial sectors, providing commercial management, cost consultancy, and project management expertise on complex multi-million-pound programmes.
They are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the National Grid’s Great Grid Upgrade – the largest overhaul of the UK electricity network in generations. This programme is part of National Grid’s £30bn investment across England and Wales over the next four years, connecting renewable energy sources to homes and businesses, modernising critical electrical infrastructure, and supporting the UK’s transition to net zero.
This is a remote role, based in Chelmsford, offering the chance to work on nationally significant energy infrastructure projects, delivering complex substation and high-voltage network upgrades, and collaborating with industry-leading teams on a programme of unprecedented scale and impact.
