Operations Manager (Assistant Captain) - MOXY Edinburgh Fountainbridge

This position is based on a full-time contract.

Gross salary - £37,000 per year

We are looking for an energetic multitasker who leads from the front to maintain a smooth hotel operation and inspires their team to overdeliver for guests by working hard and having fun. The ideal candidate maintains high standards for our guests, has an eye for detail, and possesses a sound business understanding. You will build relationships with key partners and welcome activity into the hotel by bringing the Moxy brand to life, creating a fun environment that makes guests feel at home.

• Support the General Manager in all aspects of the management of the hotel.
• Provide customer service, guest relations, and create positive guest experiences.
• Recruit and develop a team that delivers excellent service the Moxy way.
• Ensure a profitable hotel operation in line with company goals.
• Manage the team effectively and enforce company policies.
• Be actively involved in the day-to-day tasks of the team.
• Manage Food & Beverage outlets the Moxy way.
• Manage hotel room inventory and check guests in/out the Moxy way.
• Follow all food safety, licensing, and health and safety policies to work safely.
• Promote and support the Moxy brand and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

• High energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude.
• Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests.
• Skilled multitasker who can balance hard work with great service.
• Clear communicator fluent in English (other languages a plus!).

• Minimum 2 years hotel management experience.
• Minimum 2 years team management experience.
• Property management system experience (preferably Opera).
• Knowledge of Point of Sale system (preferably Micros).
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws.
• Knowledge of maintaining brand standards.
• Event management, marketing, or social media experience.
• Personal experience in travel and the travel industry.
