Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business based in Rochdale. The company has gone from strength to strength in their market and are looking to add an experienced and driven Credit Control Manager to their Finance team.

In the role of Credit Control Manager, you will manage a team of around 5 Credit Controllers and report to the Financial Controller. You will work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure customer credit is managed effectively across the group and cash flow is in good health. This is a very exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate who is looking to add value and develop in a hands-on role in an ever-growing business!

Salary £38,000 - £42,000 DOE, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, flexible working hours. Free parking and other amenities.

1. Lead a team to manage the end to end credit process, ensuring timely collections and customer relationships are strengthened.
2. Establish credit limits in line with company policy, ensuring they're reviewed routinely.
3. Monitor the company's aged debt, taking a proactive approach where possible and resolving issues where needed.
4. Business partner with internal departments and business leaders to mitigate risk and prevent bad debt.
5. Be the point of contact for any credit related issues, negotiating on and resolving issues as necessary.
6. Liaise with the finance team on cash-flow matters.
7. Deliver weekly debtor report and analysis to the senior management team.
8. Develop the small Credit Control team, set objectives and encourage best practice.
9. Coach and guide the team, monitoring performance and providing support in order to hit targets and ensure an effective credit control function.
10. Work with IT and advise and implement ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the systems.
11. Review current procedures, identify and implement ideas to improve process and efficiency.
12. Other ad-hoc work as requested.

1. At least 3 years' experience in a Credit role, preferably managing a team.
2. Strong understanding of the end to end credit process, covering risk, collections and controls.
3. Excellent excel skills are essential, ability to confidently use vlookups and pivot tables.
4. Experience using finance systems with a track-record in improving systems.
5. Strong communication - written and verbal.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Adaptable and forward thinking, challenging the status-quo.
8. Strong leadership skills, able to get the best from your team.
