Marsh

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Fiduciary Credit Control team at Marsh, on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This role will be based in Norwich. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement through the training period to be 100% office based transitioning to working at least three days a week in the office.

Are you good with figures? Do you have excellent communication skills? Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding results? If so, we’d like to hear from you!

  • Based within our busy Fiduciary Accounting department, this is a varied and stimulating insurance accounting-based credit control role, where you will be responsible for the collection of funds from our clients.
  • You will also be required to build and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, be comfortable working with MS Excel and adept at managing a varied and demanding workload.
  • Whilst we would welcome candidates with relevant experience, we are also keen to hear from college leavers, graduates and individuals with transferable skills, who are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in building a career within the Financial Services Sector.
  • To succeed you will be highly numerate, have great communication skills and enjoy using these strengths to resolve queries.

We will rely on you to:

  • Perform credit control activities both verbally and in written formats.
  • Be responsible for ledger management.
  • Investigate and resolve any unmatched cash issues/financial exposures.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work out different tax/commission rates.

What you need to have:

  • Good level of education with clear strengths in numerical and potentially accounting related subjects.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Exceptional numeracy skills, with demonstrable experience of working with figures.
  • High level of accuracy with impeccable attention to detail.
  • An inquisitive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to deal with differing demands.
  • A passion for delivering excellent service to external and internal clients.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel.

What makes you stand out:

  • Previous credit control/accounting experience within a similar (ideally insurance related) role.
  • Proven track record in handling and resolving complex customer queries in a financial environment.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
