A postdoctoral position (2 years) is available in the research group led by Veronique Regnault in the Acute and Chronic Cardiovascular Deficiency (DCAC) Inserm-Université de Lorraine unit in Nancy to work on mechanoepigenetic regulation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in vascular diseases. We want to elucidate how oxidative stress impacts the mechanobiological functions of VSMCs in atherosclerosis, thrombotic diseases and aging. The team is especially interested in studying the molecular, epigenetic and pathophysiological mechanisms leading to alterations of mechanobiological and metabolic functions of VSMCs.
A multi-disciplinary approach involving biochemical, biophysical and cellular experiments will be used to address these questions. The ultimate goal of the project is to advance our understanding of mechanical memory through epigenetic remodeling of the vascular wall.
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher (m/f) with strong expertise in epigenetics, excited by clinical translational challenges and proven ability to work independently.
