About the Department
The OFMI team in Canada is part of the Finance Chief Operating Office for North America. It ensures that appropriate solutions are put in place for the Finance (accounting) and Tax organization to meet their business and regulatory needs. The team acts as the bridge for the Finance and Tax organization to various departments within the group, mainly the Business, Finance and Tax production teams, Central Finance teams in head office, and Fresh teams in North America. The team works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business and regulatory changes and strategic initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory projects: Adapting finance reporting to meet regulatory requirements for head office.
2. Business Projects: Adapting finance systems to handle new products or needs coming from Front Office or ALMT, business lines or functions.
3. Internal Finance projects: Coordination of Finance teams to reach an internal goal (organization topics, internal requests from the Group, internal requests from the CFO executive committee).
4. Digital projects: Automation and streamlining of Finance processes.
5. The project manager will coordinate with Fresh and other internal stakeholders across F&T to ensure on-time quality delivery of the projects. Gather and report project costing, identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
6. Develop detailed project plans including documentation, testing and executing protocol, tasks, budgets, timelines and status metrics. Collect and analyze user requirements and business processes.
7. Carry out investigations of the source of data, explain the origin of the anomaly, identify, and correct them. Build remediation plans.
8. Provide the team lead with the data needed to make big-picture decisions.

Skills Required:

1. Good knowledge of Project Management processes and workflow.
2. Experience in business and system analysis (gathering requirements, creating system specifications) in the financial services industry.
3. Good knowledge of banking products and services.
4. Ability to analyze large data sets and condense the findings.
5. Good communication skills to interact at all levels of the organization.
6. Well versed with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. University degree in Finance/Accounting.
2. PMP and/or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
