LandSure Systems Ltd. (LandSure) is looking to hire a User Interface (UI) Designer I to join our Products division!

What you'll do:

Reporting to the User Experience Manager, the User Interface (UI) Designer plays a key role in creating consistent, scalable, and accessible user interfaces. This role focuses on designing UI components and patterns that align with the company’s design system, which is built using Figma, Angular Material, and Storybook.

The UI Designer collaborates closely with other UI and UX Designers, as well as Frontend Developers and Product Managers to ensure that all UI components are visually cohesive, reusable, and easy to implement within the company’s Angular-based design system.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Design and Prototype: Create and maintain high-fidelity UI components, layouts, and design system guidelines in Figma, ensuring consistency across all digital products.
• Contribute to the Design System: Work alongside UI and UX Designers and UI Developers to expand and refine the company’s Angular Material-based design system, ensuring scalability and reusability.
• Component Design for Angular & Storybook: Design UI components that are compatible with Angular Material, providing clear documentation and guidelines for their implementation in Storybook.
• Collaboration with Development: Work closely with Frontend Developers to ensure seamless handoff of designs, providing annotations, specifications, and design tokens for implementation.
• UI Consistency and Standards: Adhere to best practices in visual design, interaction design, accessibility (WCAG standards), and usability to ensure high-quality, user-friendly interfaces.
• Iterate Based on Feedback: Refine and enhance UI designs based on usability testing, developer feedback, and user insights with a focus on finding solutions and achieving results.
• Support Broader UX Efforts: Collaborate with UX Designers and Researchers to assist with user research, usability testing, and interaction design tasks as needed.
• Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up with advancements in UI design, Figma, Angular Material, Storybook, and design systems, bringing innovative ideas to improve the design workflow.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in UI design (internship or work experience).
• Experience working with design systems, especially component-based UI design, is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in Figma, with experience designing and managing component libraries and design tokens.
• Strong understanding of Angular Material’s design principles, component structures, and customization.
• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Angular component structures (coding skills not required, but an understanding of implementation is beneficial).

We are dedicated to transparency in our hiring process. $60,000- $75,000 annually reflects a reasonable expectation for pay for the position depending on qualifications and experience. This compensation is specific to the role within our organization and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to job-related skills, experience and relevant training or education, business and organizational needs.
